SHINE A LIGHT ON CORPORATE TAXES

Good laws start with good information. But for years, Oregonians have been kept in the dark about exactly how much corporations pay in taxes as our corporate tax rate has dropped to among the lowest in the nation. The result? Oregon’s families and small businesses pay more than their fair share in taxes, and our schools and basic family services are underfunded.

It’s time for corporations to disclose exactly how much they pay in taxes in Oregon. The public and lawmakers need that information so that we can better fund our schools and services. Initiative Petition 25 is simple — it would require publicly traded corporations to provide to the Secretary of State a public report of their Oregon taxes.

If you believe that it’s time for corporations to tell the truth about how much they pay in taxes, help us send this issue to voters in November.
